Lysine is an essential amino acid, it provides important biological functions in the body. It was first isolated in 1889 from casein, a milk protein. This amino acid contributes to the production of hormones and enzymes, bone growth and the formation of collagen. It contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass. Lysine provides many health benefits, it is involved in the formation of antibodies. Lysine must be obtained from a diet rich in protein because our bodies cannot produce it. Mainly meats, beef, chicken, fish, milk. But also lentils, beans, chickpeas, whole raw eggs, soy.

Lysine is used in animal and human nutrition to balance diets. Recommended dietary allowances (RDA) vary depending on age and sex. Lysine deficiency is rare in developed countries. Intense stress or malnutrition can lead to a deficiency, causing a drop in immune defenses, anemia and stunted growth.

L-Lysine can contribute to the proper functioning of:

- Tissue repair and construction (muscles, skin, injuries, surgery, burns, athletes, etc.)

- Production of collagen (flexibility and resistance: ligaments, bone cartilage, skin, etc.)

- Calcium absorption (facilitates assimilation, limits loss)

- Formation, development and differentiation of cellular functions

- Chelation of heavy metals

- Synthesis of hormones, enzymes and antibodies

- Used to inhibit the proliferation of the virus

- Calms the signs of anxiety and stress (with palpitations, irritability, tremor, diarrhea)

- reduce inflammation in the digestive organs (notably the intestine, pancreas)

From "Liver Rescue": “L-lysine enters the liver and acts as a smokescreen for any viruses that cause liver disease and autoimmune disorders. Viruses hate lysine. It's like the powder that comes out of a fire extinguisher - a viral retardant that deters viruses from proliferating. L-lysine strengthens the liver's immune system and helps with some of the organ's most important functions. »

L-Lysine and Herpes:

The herpesviridae family is made up of around a hundred viruses, 8 of which are strictly human: EBV, Zona, Cytomegalovirus, HSV (1 and 2), HHV (6, 7 and 8). The majority of individuals carry it. These viruses rest in nerve ganglia and can be reactivated in cases of immunosuppression. Currently, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) has more than 60 strains, shingles has 31 (both with and without rash), HSV-1 has almost 10 strains, HSV-2 has about 15 strains, as well as other Herpes Simplex viruses. Then there are 20 strains of cytomegalovirus causing health problems and many undiscovered strains of human herpesvirus (HHV). The findings suggest that these viruses play a leading role in the development of chronic diseases, and more particularly neurologically dominant pathologies, including lyme neuroborreliosis.

To put herpes viruses back to sleep, there is the amino acid L-lysine. Researchers have found that herpes viruses stop multiplying when the level of lysine in the body exceeds that of arginine. It is essential that you know how to reduce the viral load in your body.

L-lysine is one of the essential supplements that can help you with this. It impairs the ability of virus cells to move and reproduce.

For herpes, aim for 1000 mg, twice daily for 2 weeks. There is no risk of overdose. It is estimated that an overdose would start at 10 grams per day, and even then this would only cause diarrhea.

To support the treatment, it is wise to increase your consumption of foods rich in lysine: poultry, eggs, meat, dairy products, shrimp, fish, and soy. PS: Avoid strict soy (often GMO and full of phytoestrogens) and prefer it in the form of miso (a black paste that can be added to soups or other dishes), sauce (tamari), natto (beans fermented soybeans with a glutinous appearance) and tempeh (a fermented soybean bread) from organic farming. Foods rich in arginine to avoid are oilseeds, peanuts and chocolate.

Usage tips :

Take 1 capsule 1 to 3 times a day with a large glass of water, preferably for 30 minutes. Before the meal.

To protect against the herpes virus, limit foods rich in arginine (chocolate, peanuts, nuts, seeds) which could attenuate the beneficial effects. It is recommended not to combine lysine with treatment for herpes.
