The papaya is an imposing tree native to South America well known for its fruits. It is also called papaya or island fig and is now found in tropical regions. More unknown, its seeds and leaves have many benefits.
Papaya is particularly rich in essential fatty acids, papain and chymopapain enzymes, flavonoids, carotenoids, alkaloids, glucosinolates, pectin, vitamins A and C, amino acids, calcium, potassium ... Its composition makes it an asset in many cases.
