The gut microbiome is made up of many different species of bacteria, some of which are considered beneficial and others considered pathogenic. The balance of bacteria in the gut can be easily disrupted by stress, poor diet, excess alcohol, illness and antibiotic use. Probiotics help us maintain a balance of beneficial bacteria in the gut.

Fos-A-Dophilus contains the native live bacterial strains Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium longum and Lactobacillus acidophilus. This blend of native bacterial strains is designed to have activity throughout the digestive tract, both in the distal end of the small intestine and throughout the colon.

Each capsule will provide a culture of four billion live bacteria (dehydrated viable live bacteria). Provides pure, naturally fermented strains that are antibiotic resistant and able to survive the challenges of stomach acid and bile in the digestive tract. Stable at room temperature, so no need to refrigerate.

Fos-A-Dophilus is particularly recommended for people over 40 because it is richer in bifidobacteria, which colonize the large intestine and are less easily replenished in people over 40. For younger adults we generally recommend our 'Lactobacillus Acidophilus'. This product is ideal for long or short term use, for acute intestinal problems or for daily maintenance.

What is GUARD technology and how does it work?

GUARD technology is a patented, innovative and natural technology proven to protect bacterial strains from stomach acid and enable the programmed release of probiotics into the intestines. The capsule is administered orally. When it reaches the stomach, a gel barrier forms to protect the active ingredient from stomach acid. Once in the intestine, the gel dissipates to ensure controlled release of active ingredients and maximize the effectiveness of the product at the ideal site of action.

Suggested Intake :

1 to 2 capsules per day, to be taken 30 minutes after meals.

To prevent inconvenience caused while traveling: start taking Fos-A-Dophilus at least 7 days before the start of your trip. While traveling, take the recommended daily dose and continue to do so for at least 7 days after your trip ends.
