Vegetal glycerine

Essential in the world of cosmetics, vegetable glycerin will take care of your skin and your hair. Used sparingly, it slips into your moisturizers and body creams.

Vegetable glycerin gives your cosmetics a really soft touch. It is a moisturizing agent that can be incorporated into your emulsions, your body milks and your homemade shampoos. It is also possible to add a few drops to your usual shampoo or day cream. Then add 2 to 5% glycerin to your product. Beware of overdose.

Note that vegetable glycerin mixes very well with water and alcohol but it is not miscible in oil. So it is easier to use it in your water-based or alcohol-based cosmetics. Nevertheless, the moisturizing agent is dispersible in your oil-based cosmetic products when these are solid, that is to say in balms and butters.

Examples of use?

• Hair: Incorporate into your shampoo to moisturize and soften dry and damaged hair,

• Body: Mix with your shower gel to moisturize and protect your skin,

• Cosmetics: Prepare your cream with vegetable glycerin. Apply a small dose morning and evening of glycerin on your body (face, neck, etc...) then massage.

Usage tips :

Glycerin is a colorless and odorless moisturizing agent. It is used in the manufacture of soaps and beauty products.
