Used for a long time in the traditional pharmacopoeia, the meadowsweet is a plant with many benefits. Also called Spirea ulmaire, its name recalls that of aspirin, a drug originally patented by the company Bayer. In reality, the meadowsweet, but also the white willow, both contributed to the realization of this painkiller. What are the properties of the Meadowsweet ?

The scientific name of the meadowsweet is Filipendule ulmaria. It is also called the Grass with bees or the Belle des Prés. It is a perennial, herbaceous and melliferous plant, appreciated by many insects which come to pollinate it in the fields. It is found rather in a humid environment, on the edge of a pond, the shore of a stream or in the clearing of a forest. Native to Europe and Asia, the meadowsweet is easily cultivated in our regions, but it can also be found in the wild. Our complementation is also made from plants that have grown on natural gites. They are harvested manually at the time of flowering. Of course, the aerial part is used, i.e. flowers and leaves.

Usage tips :

Take 2 to 3 tablets per day with a large glass of water, during meals and as part of a balanced diet. Possible use in cure or punctual.

Contraindications :

. Do not use in people suffering from allergy to salicylated derivatives.

. Use in people on anticoagulant therapy, children and adolescents is not recommended.
