The SOULAGEN’PRO formula, a gel based on harpagophytum, essential oils, clay and marine algae:

Our massage gel is formulated on the basis of natural active ingredients used for centuries for joint well-being and muscular health. The combination of these ingredients makes our formula totally innovative and effective from its first application. To create this gel formula, our laboratory used 12 ingredients:

7 plants including the very famous harpagophytum (devil's claw) which has already acquired a worldwide reputation in the treatment of joint and muscular problems.

Clay used since ancient times for its virtues and its anti-inflammatory effect

And 4 marine algae which are concentrates of natural active ingredients and which work wonders in spa treatments.

Plants and essential oils used in our gel:

HARPAGOPHYTUM

(harpagophytum procumbens root extract) Originally from Africa, harpagophytum or devil's claw is ingested to combat pain. Several studies (*) have confirmed its anti-inflammatory effectiveness in this use and its effect in relieving muscles and joints and combating pain.

HORSETAIL

(Equisetum arvense) Horsetail has a remarkable concentration of trace elements: calcium, silicon, manganese, magnesium, iron, potassium, etc. Traditionally it is used to prevent bone loss or help relieve joint pain. Silicon is also a trace element which plays a vital role in the reconstruction of connective tissues.

THE CAJEPUT

(Melaleuca leucadendron cajuputii) Coming from the Far East, cajeput is a product that began to be used in the 19th century in Europe. Cajeput essential oils have long been used to relieve rheumatism and other joint pain.

PEPPERMINT

Peppermint comes from a cross between water mint and spearmint. It is the menthol contained in mint which gives its essential oil an anti-inflammatory effect. Menthol activates chemical receptors in the skin that respond to cold. This cold sensation relieves pain and improves muscle recovery.

RED THYME

(Thymus zygis) This Mediterranean plant is used in many medicinal preparations, particularly for its anti-inflammatory effect. The Soulagen’ PRO gel formula uses its essential oil which is particularly interesting for health.

THE CAMPHOOD TREE

(Cinnamomum camphora) Obtained from the distillation of camphor wood, camphor is the main active ingredient in tiger balm, which is frequently used in massage to relax the muscles. Camphor essential oil is also often used in massage to relieve joint pain and other rheumatism.

ROSEMARY

(Salvia rosmarinus) Rosemary essential oils have been used since the Middle Ages in massage to relax stiffness and muscle pain. Rosemary essential oil is also known for its anti-inflammatory effect.

The clay used in our Soulagen’Pro massage gel:

Clay is the star ingredient in spa treatments because of the help it provides in reducing swelling. It is also extremely rich in minerals and trace elements, such as silicon or sodium. In the body, they are essential to ensure the flexibility and strength of the joints. Green clay is also known to be an interesting anti-inflammatory. Its incorporation into a gel relieves muscle and joint pain.

The marine algae in our product:

The “plus” of this unique formula? Marine algae (Laminaria, Fucus, Chlorella, Ulva Latica). They have made the joint treatments practiced in thermal cures and thalassotherapy famous. Their contribution comes largely from their richness in multiple trace elements. Iodine, calcium, potassium, copper and zinc combine with natural ingredients to create a synergy that allows the beneficial effect of the formula to be lastingly prolonged and its action reinforced. Using advice :

Find out how to use our product during a first application to combat your joint and muscle pain:

Take a dab of gel in the palm of your hand and apply it to the sensitive area

Perform a deep massage until the gel is completely absorbed

Repeat the massage on painful joints or muscles twice a day.

It is in fact the combination of the active ingredients of the gel and the massage which relieves the pain.

The health benefits of massage on muscles and joints :

From a physiological point of view, massage promotes good oxygenation of the muscles and stimulates blood circulation. Repetition of gestures on the skin, muscles and joints allows them to maintain their flexibility and avoid pain. Massage can help relieve various muscle and joint diseases, such as arthritis, osteoarthritis or even rheumatism.
