To install the earplug see above (Operating instructions with standard earplugs).
Earwax will accumulate in the ear canal and the earplug. This may affect the quality of the sound of the hearing aid. Consequently, we advise you to clean your ear and the earplug regularly. Use only dry means, such as a cotton ear bud.
Clean the hearing aid with a dry soft cloth. Make sure you do this above a soft surface or a towel on a table to prevent the device from being damaged if it falls.
Never use any cleaning solution or liquid like water as this may damage the device permanently.
Moisture: when going to bed at night place the hearing aid in a special dry box to keep it away from any moisture and extend its life. Do not keep the device in a humid environment. Avoid all contact with water. Remove it before swimming, showering, bathing and washing your hair or your face. If the device accidentally falls into the water do not use a dryer: dry it with a clean soft cotton cloth and put it in a well-ventilated place.
Shocks: when not using it, keep the hearing aid in the shock-proof box or bag. Do not drop your hearing aid or knock it on hard surfaces.
Never expose the hearing aid to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for long periods.
Other recommendations: do not wear your hearing aids during X-ray exams, MRI or CT scans, shortwave diathermy or similar radiation treatments. We recommend that you remove them before undergoing X-ray procedures and keep them outside the room.
Always turn the volume up gently. Do not use the hearing aid when not needed in order to save the battery.

Hearing rehabilitation plan
The hearing aid reproduces an abundance of sounds which frequently have not been heard for years. Every person will react differently the first time they wear a hearing aid. The familiarization phase will therefore differ from one person to another. Below is a rehabilitation plan for first-time users or those using new devices:
Stage 1 (1-3 weeks): wear your RN 33 for 1-2 hours per day in a relatively quiet environment to get used to the device and the new sounds.
Stage 2 (1-3 weeks): you may wear the aid 4-8 hours per day in a relatively quiet environment
Stage 3 (1-3 weeks): wear your RN 33 in quiet public places. You can now have conversations with other people.
Stage 4 (1-3 weeks): you can travel, go to noisy places (supermarkets, restaurants, concerts, etc.) or watch videos: you can do whatever you like and enjoy life hearing well again!
By following this advice your hearing comfort is assured.
